- If the gift card is valid until May 31, do I need to travel before the expiration date, or can I travel later as long as I book a trip before May 31?
To fully take advantage of your gift card, make sure your trip wraps up by the expiration date. For example, if you want to travel on May 31, you won’t be able to use it for an overnight trip from Sweden to Finland since the end of the trip goes past the expiry date. However, a day trip from Helsinki to Tallinn on May 31 would work perfectly.
- Can I use the gift card on board Tallink Silja Line's ships?
The gift card cannot be used on board Tallink Silja Line’s ships. It can be used for purchases online only. For example, you can use the gift card to buy ship money online, which can be used later on board.
- Can I use the gift card for Tallink Hotels online bookings, in-hotel purchases, or at ground-based restaurants?
You cannot use the gift card for online bookings at Tallink Hotels website, in-hotel purchases, or at ground-based restaurants. However, you can use it to purchase hotel packages that include a ferry trip.
- Can I use the gift card multiple times?
The gift card can be used for multiple purchases. For instance, you can buy a product from the Tallink e-shop, and if there’s any balance remaining, you can apply it to purchase a ferry ticket.
- Can I decide how much of the gift card balance I want to use when paying online?
You can’t choose to use the gift card balance partially when making online payments. For example, if you have a 100 € gift card and your trip costs 50 €, you can’t split the payment to use 25 € from the gift card and pay the remaining 25 € with a bank card. However, if you have precisely 25 € left on your gift card, you can use all of it and then pay the remaining amount with your card.
