Key definitions:
- Family member: A parent or legal guardian of the travelling child.
- Supervisor: A person authorized by a guardian to supervise a child under 18.
The supervisor must have reviewed and signed the necessary Tallink Silja Line documents, agreeing to be responsible for the child and compensating for any damages caused.
Essential travel documents:
- Travel permission: This document must be filled out and signed by a parent or legal representative, allowing a 15 to 17-year-old passenger to travel alone. It confirms that the parent or guardian consents to the minor traveling without an adult.
- Travel authorization: This document is signed by a parent or legal guardian, authorising another person (such as a family member or supervisor) to act as the minor’s supervisor during the trip. The supervisor agrees to take full responsibility for the child throughout the entire journey.
- Questionnaire for the supervisor: A supervisor’s signed agreement to be responsible for the child aged 0-17 years during the journey.
