Fees & Surcharges Service fees at the terminal sales offices When purchasing tickets at the terminal, a service fee will be applied. Finland: 8 € per reservation Sweden: 72 SEK per reservation Exceptions: No service fee for adding services to an existing reservation or modifying a booking. No service fee if payment fails online. In terminals with self-service check-in, a 5 € registration fee applies to all foot passengers per one-way ticket using the service desks. Fee exemptions: The fee does not apply to passengers in Executive Suite, Suite, and Commodore class passengers. MyStar and Megastar Platinum or Business class passengers on the Tallinn-Helsinki route are exempt from the check-in fee. Passengers aged 0–17 and those with disabilities or limited mobility are exempt. Special conditions: On round-trip cruises where both directions are registered at once, the fee is 5 € per passenger. No fee is charged if self-service kiosks (ACIT) are unavailable, and check-in must be done at the service desk. With the inclusion of shipping in the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) from 2024, an emissions surcharge will apply to Tallink Grupp customers. Helsinki/Turku – Åland route: Currently, no emissions surcharge is applied. Children under 5 years: No fee will be charged. The fuel and emission surcharges are not eligible for Club One bonus points. As the price of emissions allowances will fluctuate based on market demand, the emissions surcharge will also vary over time.
